So it's a software problem with Big Sur, AC2 or that and a combination of the M1 processor? I also treated myself to a M1 MacBook Air and the problem is repeated on that as well. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled AC2. I have had a USB overcharge warning and also used a USB C to USB adaptor to plug both banks of 15 and 14 in, but with no luck. Like I say I have tried different USB hubs, I've had to because there are only 2 USB ports, but even when only one bank is plugged in, of 15 only 9 or so will connect. Also the system had crashed several times. The only way to fix this is to slowly unplug every device and then reconnect them one by one, but even then, halfway through this process, half a dozen can disconnect for no apparent reason and I'm back at square one. In the past, all 29 would have connected without a hitch. When I plug the system in, from 29 iPads, at best 16 or so will connect, using various USB hubs, the best I have managed is 22, but never all 29. I have convinced our school to upgrade to a newer Mac mini with the M1 chip, but now the new unit will not connect to all of our devices. For years this solution has worked well, but with a much slower 2012 Mac mini. We're having a problem when trying to connect a trolley of iPads to our new Mac mini M1. They are all actually inches apart.Īnyone else having this issue with their MacBook Pro M1s after updating to macOS 12.3? and yes devices are within 30 feet of each other. Even forced quite Universal Control in the activity monitor on MacBook Pro. Yes all Universal Controls are checked on, on all devices. Yes all devices have the latest software. Yes all three are logged in with the same Apple ID with two factor authentication. turned off wifi and bluetooth and back on again. I tried restarting all devices many times. Which is so odd because its the newer device. MacBook Pro can't do anything to either iMac or iPad wireless. It can do Universal Control to iPad not MacBook Pro. IMac: Retina 5K, 27 inch, 2017, macOS 12.3Īll in all the iMac can do Sidecar to both MacBook Pro and iPad Pro. But my MacBook Pro can't do Universal Control at all. Plus on top of all that my iMac can do Universal Control to my iPad Pro. Its just my newer MacBook Pro that can't connect anymore to the others. My iMac also can see my iPad Pro and connect. Oddly my iMac sees my MacBook Pro and connects through sidecar to add a display but I cannot connect the other way around. If I plug my iPad Pro into the MacBook Pro it will pop up in the "Add Display" bar and work. It can no longer see my iMac 27" (2017) or my iPad Pro 12.9inch as a wireless screen. Sidecar stopped working on MacBook Pro M1 when updating to macOS 12.3 / Universal Control not working After updating to macOS 12.3 my MacBook Pro M1 stopped working with sidecar wirelessly. Posted in Big Sur as I could not see a subsection for Configurator. So it's a software problem with Big Sur, AC2 or that and a combination of the M1 processor?Īny help would be gratefully appreciated.
